You can become part of this exciting field with our Maryland approved programs, which range from pre-service to new coursework for advancing professionals. Early Childhood Education & Child Care Child Growth and Development 45 Hours is certification course satisfies the child development half of the MSDE requirement of 90 hours for child care teachers and directors. Gain a broad overview of major concepts, theories and research related to the social, emo- tional, cognitive, and physical development of the child from birth through age 12. is course and a 45-hour course in age-appropriate curriculum (preschool, infant-toddler, or school-age) are required to complete the 90-hour certifica- tion for child care. You must successfully complete all course requirements to receive a certificate. Aligns with MD Staff Credential (proposed) levels 2-4. Standard refund policy does not apply.
