A weeklong band class in Blues and Rock styles designed to give students the
opportunity to play and learn from Scott Goriup director of the HCC's Gumbo
Jam Bands program. Students will team together to work towards a
performance at HCC of Rock, Blues, and Contemporary songs
spanning decades of recorded music. Hands on experience with topics such as
basic sound engineering, mixing boards and sound checks, as well as
presentations of Rock'n Roll history movies will supplement the daily
rehearsals culminating with a performance at the end of the week.
