Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to receive your journeyman license from the State of Maryland without taking the exam. If you are employed by an HVACR company, your employer may help offset the costs for this program through a sponsorship. If you are currently not em - ployed by an HVACR company, you can register and start the program and you will need to find full-time employment with an HVACR contractor by the start of your second year of classroom training. You may also audit the program through HACC of MD. Classes are held at Howard Community College two evenings per week, September through May.
