In this course, the focus is on the development of emancipated innocence—the capacity to integrate child-like innocence and mature judgment, care-free impetuosity with seasoned and honed skill; the integration of spontaneity and sagacity. Understood and nurtured, older adults become emancipated from social convention without abandoning reason. Cre- ativity and mature judgment are wedded.
