Students must intend to launch a business in the next six months to a year. ese courses have students working on their businesses in real time. 2. Learning happens in one-on-one sessions (virtual and/or face to face) with an experienced entrepreneurial coach. 3. Meetings are at a mutually convenient time for the student and the coach and occur during days, evenings and weekends. An OPEN ENTRY/ONLINE COURSE is deployed in a non-traditional, one-on-one teacher to student flexible time "in person" or online format. It allows shorter completion times, drop-in hours for optional face-to-face help, and possible on campus or remote testing options. Many of the Computer Systems (CMSY) and Office Technology (OFFI) courses are offered in this format. ings to know before you enroll: 1. Aer viewing an online orientation to the course, the student works through the course content individually, clarifying with the instructor as needed. e Office Technology classroom (DH301, 443-518-4876) is staffed with Microso certified instructors to help, one-on-one, anytime the classroom is open. 2. For the majority of the open entry courses, the registration period is longer to allow for flexible scheduling. (Most courses are available through the 10th week of the semester.) 3. Test and assignment deadlines are effective as soon as the semester begins OR the day the student enrolls, whichever is later; due dates are adjusted based upon registration date. 4. Students may do all the course work for the majority of these classes at home, with the exception of exams. Testing options for remotely proctored testing may be arranged. No additional textbook purchase is required; your student account will be charged. Please refer to Student Planner for details on the additional materials charge.
