NEW! Ages 8–10. Explore the visual culture of graffiti and typography and how we use and see letters and text in our modern world. From Keith Haring's spontaneous subway line drawings to Banksy's layered stencil graffiti and Jasper Johns' number series, this class includes art inspired by many different contemporary artists who use text and graffiti imagery in their artwork. Students will also explore typography as they learn to create different types of text like block lettering, bubble lettering and script lettering.
