The Laurel College Center (LCC) is one of eight Regional Higher Education Centers officially designated by the State of Maryland. The LCC's founding partners are Prince George's Community College and Howard Community College. Our four-year partners are Notre Dame of Maryland University, the University of Maryland University College, and the University of Maryland College Park. You can take individual courses, or earn associate degrees in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education/Special Education, or General Studies through the founding community colleges. You can also earn a bachelor's or post-graduate degree at the LCC through the higher education partners. The following pages list the HCC credit classes offered at the LCC in spring 2014. Ongoing workforce development and noncredit continuing education programs are published in a separate schedule. Visit www.laurelcollegecenter.org for information on all the courses and programs to help you get ahead! Register for classes: November 5 through first day of class Classes begin: January 25 Spring Break (college closed): April 14-20 Final exams: May 5-10 Check the specific class listing in this schedule, as start and end dates may vary from the spring session dates above. Condensed "weekender" courses may have work assignments before the start of class; check with Records, Registration and Veterans' Affairs for any special instructions. Getting Started–Admissions Procedures New students should complete an application for admission to HCC and submit it to the LCC or to the college's main campus. You may also call 1-866-228-6110 to have one mailed to you. Advisors come to the LCC and can meet with you to discuss your interests, provide career information and assist you with course planning and selection. They can also tell you about other services such as placement testing, financial aid and support for students with disabilities. See page 14 for a list of services and contact information.
