DEPARTMENTS <<< CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY STUDENTS OF GLOBAL DISTINCTION What do you get if faculty from two colleges cross county borders to develop an academic enrichment program for students to transcend international borders? Two national awards so far! The Global Distinction Program grew out of a joint faculty learning community between HCC and the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) with the mission to prepare students for both academic and professional success in our increasingly interconnected and interdependent world. Students earn Global Distinction upon completion of 15 credits of intense coursework including a world language, study abroad or equivalent domestic intercultural experience, campus events, and an e-portfolio summarizing their work prior to graduation or transfer.
