blood is a uniting element. In art, it can suggest
flourishing life, brotherhood, and rhythm.
It may also symbolize destruction, death, and agony.
Now entering our ninth season, we begin a journey
to explore the many visions of blood that manifest
themselves through the visual and performing arts.
