in the Horowitz Center.
THE COLUMBIA FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
Each year, the Columbia Festival of the Arts presents a 16-day multidisciplinary
arts festival comprised of both free and ticketed events in multiple locations,
indoor and outdoor, throughout Howard County. The Festival begins
with LakeFest, a three-day, free outdoor event featuring art exhibits, live
performances, kids' entertainment and crafts, demonstrations, fine arts and
fine crafts, and a variety of activities for all ages. Following the LakeFest
weekend, the remaining days of the Festival are comprised of performances
by national and international touring artists, literary and film presentations,
fine art exhibits, workshops and master classes.

HOWARD COUNTY POETRY & LITERATURE SOCIETY
For 40 years, HoCoPoLitSo has worked to enlarge the audience for
contemporary poetry and literature and celebrate culturally diverse
literary heritages. HoCoPoLitSo sponsors readings with acclaimed writers;
programs for students; and The Writing Life, a writer-to-writer interview
show seen on YouTube and awarded Bravo TV's Arts for Change Award.

HOWARD COUNTY CENTER
OF AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE
Founded in August 1987, The Howard County Center of African American
Culture Inc. is an independent, nonprofit, educational organization dedicated
to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of African American history
and culture of Howard County, Maryland and the surrounding region.

JEWISH FEDERATION OF HOWARD COUNTY
The Jewish Federation of Howard County is a nonprofit organization whose
vision is to support and serve the Howard County Jewish community and Jews
throughout the world. The Federation also works to promote Jewish identity
and enrich Jewish life through cultural activities and programs. One such offer
