y Get carded! Get your student ID at Public Safety (RCF-
117) to use the Athletics and Fitness Center, enter and use

1. Complete an admissions application.

y First-time students pay a $25 application fee.
y Returning students who have been away for two or more years
need to complete an application; the fee is waived.
2. Take your placement test, if needed, and meet with an
academic advisor to develop your academic plan.

y Once you've taken your placement test, consult the

3. Register for classes using myHCC (portal.howardcc.edu).

4. Choose your payment arrangements.

y Use myHCC to pay in full with a credit card; cash or money
orders are also accepted at the cashier window (RCF-201).
y Sign up for the Tuition Payment Plan in myHCC. Sign up by
November 20 to put no money down!
y Complete the FAFSA and apply for financial aid. Check
myHCC for updates on your award. Visit howardcc.edu/
financialaid for more information about scholarships, grants,
and loans.
Military and Veterans
Are you a US Military service member, veteran, or
dependent? Visit howardcc.edu/veterans to review
services available to you at this military-friendly school.
Take 15 to Finish!
Students who enroll in 15 credits a term or 30 credits
a year are more likely to stay enrolled and be successful.
Speak with an advisor and be sure to register
for 15 credits this spring!
