Get off the chair and into the air! Fly, code, and learn all about drones! Work together and strategize with your flight team using simulators and drones to pitch, roll, yaw, and rotate to execute special missions, that replicate and represent real life scenarios. Use trial-and-error methodology complemented with STEM-based applications to control drones as they safely fly through hoops, maneuver around obstacles, and land on targets. Teams gear up and challenge one another for points in the end-of-week Ultimate Drobot Games. Drone safety and the social responsibilities of flying drones are included in this program. Ecology is a branch of biology that deals with the relationships of organisms to one another and their physical surroundings. E-cool-ogy will let you apply scientific methods to create and analyze animal habitats, research food webs in biomes, and understand the impact of recycling in your community. Smith II Melvin D. Smith II, adjunct biology instructor at HCC, has almost 20 years of teaching experience, including having taught elementary through college students. An avid supporter of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), Mr. Smith is an ambassador of the sciences and STEAM concepts, and is currently teaching a STEAM program for an elementary school in Baltimore City. He is also passionate about ensuring that the learning environment is active, content-driven, and applicable to his students' future success. In addition to having taught multiple Kids on Campus courses, Mr. Smith has produced and developed a radio show and science activity videos with Dragon Digital Radio at HCC. E-cool-ogy
