42 Summer 2018 443-518-1700 howardcc.edu/ConEd A RIDER SCHOOL EXCLUSIVE Basic Rider Course for Women Are you a woman who would like to obtain a motorcycle license but would prefer doing so in a setting with only women? Perhaps you and a friend have been thinking about doing this together and feel you'd be more comfortable with other women and female instructors. Or, maybe you'd like to encourage your wife or girlfriend to ride and what better way than this? Act now to secure a spot in our once-a-year class – Basic Rider Course for Women, which will be held Mon., June 4; Wed., June 6; Sat., June 9; and Sun., June 10. is class is limited to 12 students and will fill quickly, so don't delay. Curriculum consists of a three-hour online course, two classroom sessions (Monday and Wednesday evening) and two range sessions (Saturday and Sunday) to earn the MVA certificate. Motorcycle Safety Absolute Beginner—Basic Rider Class (ABC) is is the traditional Basic Rider Course, but with a smaller group and more individual attention. e ABC is for the beginning rider who wants the most personal instruction. If you are nervous about riding, this is the class for you. Two evenings of classroom and two days of riding. To pick your class day and time, visit riderschool.org and click on "Class Schedule." $460 (course fees total $290) BRC2 (formerly the Alternate Basic Rider Course) is newly enhanced and comprehensive license earning course is designed for the more experienced rider with recent on road experience. In addition to an online eCourse which must be completed prior to attending class, this one day 9 hour course includes three hours classroom, a break for lunch and five hours on the range. Students may use our motorcycles or their own properly registered motorcycle. If you know how to ride but you haven't ridden in the past year, choose the Basic Rider Course above. What's a sure sign that spring is near? e revving of motorcycle engines as we kick off a new season! Plan to sharpen your riding skills and increase safety awareness before hitting the open road this spring with our Extra Practice Session. You'll have two hours of time on the range using our bike or your own bike if you and your bike are licensed and insured under the supervision of an MVA and MSF certified instructor … plenty of time to work out the kinks if you don't ride over the winter – or even longer. As long as you've completed a licensing course anywhere, you're welcome to join this small group session to brush up on the skills you need to improve. Class is limited to six participants so you'll get the benefit of plenty of focused instruction from an MVA and MSF certified instructor. Private Instruction Do you have a few riding skills you'd like to improve? Work with one of our most experienced instructors on exactly what you want to learn. Open to riders who have taken a riding course anywhere. Private Instruction is also a great choice to help you prepare to retake a riding class. Private practice is also open to those with a valid M Class License/Permit. Pay for just the time you need and schedule a time that works for you.
