22 | Howard Community College FALL Schedule of Classes 2018 Register Online: howardcc.edu An OPEN ENTRY COURSE is deployed in a non-traditional, one- on-one teacher to student format. It allows shorter completion times, longer registration window, drop-in hours, and various places where you may complete your work. Many of the Computer Systems (CMSY), Office Technology (OFFI), and Entrepreneurship (ENTR) courses are offered in this format. ings to know before you enroll: 1. For the majority of the open entry courses, the registration period is longer to allow for flexible scheduling. (Most courses are available through the 10th week of the semester.) 3. Test and assignment deadlines are effective as soon as the semester begins OR the day the student enrolls, whichever is later; due dates are adjusted based upon registration date.) 4. Students may do all the course work for the majority of these classes at home, with the exception of exams. Individualized Entrepreneurship Program (ENTR) ings to Know before You Enroll 1. Students must intend to launch a business in the next six months to a year. ese courses have students working on their businesses in real time. 2. Learning happens in one on one sessions (virtual and/or face to face) with an experienced entrepreneurial coach. 3. Meetings are at a mutually convenient time for the student and the coach and occur during days, evenings and weekends.
