howardcc.edu/ConEd 443-518-1700 Fall 2018 29 Health Care Patient Care Introduction to Dental Assisting and Radiology You'll have entry-level dental assisting job skills with CPR certification (valid for two years) when you successfully complete this noncredit program, approved by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners. Topics include dental ter- minology and anatomy, concepts of four-handed dentistry, instrumentation, causes and treatment of common dental diseases, CPR certification, and at least 24 hours of dental radiology instruction as required by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) for eligibility to sit for the DANB Radiology Health and Safety (RHS) certification exam.
