SERVICES 105 CASHIERS' OFFICE Room RCF-201 443-518-1862 The Cashiers' Office is responsible for preparing all tuition-related billings and for collecting debts owed to the college. All tuition and fees must be paid in full by the listed payment due date. Unpaid balances may result in deregistration from classes. If a student has an outstanding balance after the add/drop period, a HOLD will be placed on the student's account. As a result, the student will be unable to obtain grades and/or transcripts and will not be allowed to register for future courses until the hold is removed. The cashiers' office will make every effort to notify the student of the outstanding debt. Failure to respond will result in the debt being transferred to a COLLECTION AGENCY, which will add a 17 to 35 percent collection cost to the original balance. Office Hours Monday-Thursday 8:45 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Friday 8:45 a.m.-5 p.m. NOTE: June 1-July 31 the office will close at 7 p.m. *Hours are subject to change. REFUNDS Howard Community College routinely issues refunds to students*. Students will be issued a refund based on their enrollment status and payment method. The amount of the refund will be dependent upon drop dates. Students should visit howardcc.edu/dates for more information on the college's refund policy. Howard Community has partnered with Higher One, a financial services company, to provide electronic refund services. Students will receive the HCC Connect Card in the mail. Students should follow the instructions provided in the green envelope and visit www. hccconnectcard.com to select the refund method of their choice. Students are encouraged to visit myHCC and "my tuition refund and withdrawal deadlines" to learn more about how refunds are issued at HCC and the various refund options. *All refunds will be issued to the student and not the payor, unless the student is under the age of 16 or tuition was paid for by a third party sponsor. CHILD CARE SERVICE The Children's Learning Center provides an educational early childhood program for the children of students, faculty, staff, and community members. Rates vary depending on the age of the child, part-time or full-time enrollment of the child and the income of the parent. Depending on the availability of funding, low-income students may be eligible for subsidies to offset the costs for child care. The Children's Learning Center is also a lab school for students in the Early Childhood Development Program and other programs requiring learning experiences in a child care center. For further information concerning the Children's Learning Center, contact the Child Care Director at 443-518- 1360. COMPUTER SERVICES HCC provides a variety of computer services and state-of-the-art classrooms and labs to meet the changing technology needs of students and faculty.
