For any refund request received after that Monday before the class start date, the fees will be with- held. Requests to drop a class must be made in writing, in person, by fax at 443-518-4333 or by telephone at 443-518-4110. Requests for drops or refunds left on voicemail will NOT be processed. You may also use the "Drop a Course" option on HCC Express. You must include the student's name, ID #, address, phone number, course name, course number, and start date. Refunds cannot be made for non-attendance. EARLY PICK-UP–If you need to pick up your student early, please sign your student out in the Hick- ory Ridge Building, Room 100. You will be given a release form which you can take to your child's instructor. You will be asked to show picture ID. FEDERAL TAX ID#–Use this number for your federal income tax return or dependent care credit: 520900106. HEALTH INFORMATION–HCC will not administer any medications to students. If medication must be taken while the student is on campus, the parent/guardian is responsible for coming to campus to administer the medication. Written permission from a physician is required for those who are able to self-medicate. Call 443-518-4110 for a required form. In an emergency, trained staff will administer epi pens or inhalers provided by students. Kids on Campus cannot guarantee a nut-free environment. LATE ARRIVAL–Students arriving after the start of class should by signed in by their parent in HR- 100. Parents will escort the student to class. LUNCH–You provide the lunch, we provide the supervision. From 12pm-1pm, students will eat lunch with their peers and watch general audience movies. Use section numbers listed on page 61 to register for the matching supervised lunch. All students staying on campus for both morning and afternoon courses must register for this supervised lunch hour. The fee covers supervision, facilities and movies. NON-PERISHABLE BAG LUNCHES ARE REQUIRED. NO REFRIGERATION OR MICROWAVE IS AVAILABLE. PARKING–Please check our website at howardcc.edu/kidsoncampus for updated information. PICK-UP–Students should be picked up promptly at 12pm, noon (for 8:30am-12pm classes). Those not picked up by 12:15pm will be placed in a supervised lunchroom in the Hickory Ridge Building. They will be enrolled in lunch. A fee will be charged. Parents should pick up their student at the Hickory Ridge Building at the end of their student's class. Students taking classes in other locations will be escorted back to the Hickory Ridge Building. Students not picked up by 4:45pm will be escorted to After Care located at HVPA. You may contact our staff in After Care by calling 443-797-9388. A late fee of $5 per 15 minutes will be charged. SNACK–A 15-minute class break is scheduled every day. Students may bring their own snack, or they may purchase a drink and snack from the vending machines. Students should bring $1 bills or small change (no pennies) for the vending machines. Staff is unable to provide change for the vending machines. SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS–HCC is committed to providing an accessible education and sup - portive learning environment for all students. To help us meet this goal, parents of students with documented disabilities who require special accommodations must submit a letter to the Kids on Campus coordinator indicating the student's needs and the type of accommodation that may be required. You must contact the KOC coordinator each time the student enrolls in a class even if you have received accommodations in the past. The KOC coordinator must receive the letter at least 30 days prior to the start of class in order to provide time to assess and arrange for reason- able accommodations. Inadequate notice may result in your child not being able to attend camp. All information will be kept confidential. HCC does not provide personal medical assistants, care attendants, or aides of any other type. Parents are not permitted to attend camp with their child. WAITLIST–To join a waitlist for a full class go to: howardcc.edu/kocwaitlist. You will be notified if a spot becomes available. Register for another class in the event the class remains full.
