Ecker Business Training Center, at Gateway – visit howardcc.edu/coned for details. y y Laurel College Center – see page 49 for details and schedule of courses. Student Support Library – print and online resources, research databases, study spaces, computer labs, staff support. Career and Counseling Services – available FREE for students – get assistance in planning your career, searching for a job, internships, job fairs, and career counseling. Military Community – Get guidance on using GI Bill benefits and Tuition Assistance, access a full range of college services, including a chapter of the Student Veterans Organization, and a student lounge for members of the military community. Services for Students with Disabilities – coordination of services such as note takers, interpreters, extended time for tests; advocacy and self-advocacy training; specialized equipment and adaptive soware. Adult Basic Education – reading, writing, math, GED preparation, External Diploma Program, math placement, and skills evaluation. English Language Center – ESL and basic communication as well as degree-seeking ESL program. Career Links – assistance for qualified low-income single parents and displaced homemakers in reaching academic and career goals. Learning Assistance Center – academic support for all credit students, study skills workshops, math reviews, and tutoring. Step UP – One-on-one coaching to help manage the challenges of college. Campus Highlights Athletics - Howard Community College is the home of the Dragons! HCC offers Men's and Women's Cross Country, Track and Field, Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Women's Volleyball. Visit the Athletics and Fitness Center for a workout in our gym, take a fitness class, or swim laps in the pool. Horowitz Center – enjoy a show by the student Arts Collective or professional theatre in residence, Rep Stage, catch a music or dance performance, or stroll through the student and professional art galleries. Wellness Center – education, referrals, workshops, awareness, as well as massage therapy, acupuncture, and other stress management sessions. Children's Learning Center – educational child care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years. Available for children of HCC students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community. Rates vary. Enrollment Instructions Register daily between 7 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. in myHCC. For more detailed instructions, visit howardcc.edu/register. STEP 1: LOG IN • Go to myHCC (myHCC.howardcc.edu) and log in using your username and password. • If this is your first time logging in, visit Password Services (howardcc.edu/passwordservices) to update and access your HCC user account. Need help? Contact the Help Desk at 443-518-4444. STEP 2: CLEAR ANY REGISTRATION BLOCKS • Contact the appropriate office to remove any holds. STEP 3: REVIEW YOUR PLAN & SELECT YOUR SECTIONS • Choose "Register-Add/Drop/Withdraw" in the Plan & Register menu. • Enter the course number (e.g. ENGL-121) in the "Search for Courses" box; it is best to start with classes already on your plan. • Choose the term for which you are registering in the "Filter Results" column. • Click "View Available Sections" for the course, located below the course description. • Choose the section you would like to add to your schedule, and select "Add Section to Schedule." • Review your grading options (choose Graded or Audit) and requisites, and select "Add Section." NOTE: You'll still see the course requisites listed even if you've met them. STEP 4: REVIEW YOUR SELECTIONS AND REGISTER • Hover over the Student Planning menu, select "Plan & Schedule," and navigate to the appropriate registration term. Your selected sections will appear in yellow and will be tagged as "Planned." • Click "Register Now." If your registration is successful, the classes will turn green and will be tagged as "Registered." If your classes aren't green, you're not yet registered. STEP 5: PAY YOUR BILL • Select the "Pay for Registration" button at the top of your screen. • On the payment screen, you can see your class sections, your registration charges, and review and accept the Terms and Conditions, before making payment. • To sign up for the Tuition Payment Plan, go to the myHCC homepage and select "Sign Up/View My Payment Plan." • If you have financial aid awards, you must review your estimat- ed financial aid awards to ensure that they cover your tuition charges. Financial aid awards vary based on the number of credits in which you are enrolled. If your awards do not cover your charges in full, pay the difference.
