Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals related to administering and monitor- ing procedures for nitrous oxide and are required to serve as clinical partners during the hands-on lab session. is course meets the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners (MSBDE) requirements for licensed dental hygienists. In or- der to prepare participants for the practice of nitrous oxide/ oxygen administration and monitoring, participants must complete a written assignment, summarizing basic nitrous oxide/oxygen principles.
