12 Summer 2018 443-518-1700 howardcc.edu/ConEd Trade Occupations & Licenses OSHA Compliant Forklift Operator Training e Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires that anyone who operates or plans to operate a powered industrial li truck be trained under specified guidelines. is course complies with those guidelines and fulfills two of the three parts required to become a certified operator. is one-day class consists of formal classroom training (part one), including videos, discussions and lec - ture on safe operation of the industrial powered, sit down rider li truck, and practical training (part two) which is hands-on operation, demonstration, and pre-shi inspec- tions. Students will operate the li truck in a simulated and controlled work environment. Each student will be issued a certificate for parts one and two and wallet card at the successful completion of the class. Students will need to be evaluated (part three) in their workplaces in order to complete the certification. Students must be 18 years old and have the equivalent of high school English reading and speaking skills. Lunch is provided. No refund five days prior to class starting.
